Yatagarasu Anime Delays Episode 15 by 3 Weeks Due to Olympics – News

Olympic-Sized Delay for "Karasu wa Aruji o Erabanai" Anime

Exciting news for fans of the mystical realm of Yamauchi! Due to the upcoming 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, the 15th episode of the anime adaptation of "Karasu wa Aruji o Erabanai" (The Raven Does Not Choose Its Master) will be delayed by three weeks. The rescheduled episode will air on August 17, following the Olympics’ preemption on July 27, August 3, and August 10.

This development comes on the heels of the anime’s 14th episode, which introduced a new arc inspired by the third novel in the series, "Kin no Karasu" (The Golden Raven). The series premiered on April 6 on NHK, with Crunchyroll streaming the series as "YATAGARASU: The Raven Does Not Choose Its Master".

Directed by Yoshiaki Kyougoku, who is best known for his work on "Laid-Back Camp", the anime features a talented creative team, including character designer Takumo Norita, composer Eishi Segawa, and sound director Yuji Tange. The series is a production of NHK, NHK Enterprises, and Pierrot.

The novel series, written by Chisato Abe, takes place in the world of Yamauchi, where mythical god-crows known as yatagarasu can shape-shift between human and crow forms. The yatagarasu live in a society modeled after Heian-era Japan, evoking a sense of mystique and intrigue.

The story follows Yukiya, a young yatagarasu appointed as the personal attendant of the eccentric Crown Prince Wakamiya. As Yukiya becomes embroiled in a web of conspiracies threatening the Imperial throne, he must navigate the complex world of Yamauchi politics.

The novel series, which began in 2012 with the first novel "Karasu ni Hitoe wa Niawanai", has inspired two manga adaptations: "Karasu ni Hitoe wa Niawanai" and "Karasu wa Aruji o Erabanai". The latter is currently ongoing in Kodansha’s Comic Days app.

Fans of the series will have to wait a little longer to catch up with Yukiya’s adventures, but the delay is sure to be worth it. With its unique blend of fantasy and historical elements, "Karasu wa Aruji o Erabanai" continues to captivate audiences worldwide. Stay tuned for more updates on this captivating series!
